KHUDA AUR MOHABBAT

Khuda Aur Mohabbat is a new novel of Zulfiqar Arshad Gilani which has commenced its journey of sale from 17th of November 2011. As an author, Researcher and Screen Writer this is 18th book of the said writer. Khuda Aur Mohabbat has been published by Ilm Dost Publications, Urdu Bazaar, Lahore with a very eye-catching title.
Khuda Aur Mohabbat is based on a semi-true story which occurred many years ago in Sukkur, a city of Sindh province of Pakistan. This is tale of a Muslim youngster who was believer that every thing is fair in LOVE and WAR and in his struggle to posses his love he fought with fate badly.
Story starts from flashback when Raheel Bhatti comes back to his native town after a long time of 25 years with another identity and position. The door of memories opens and he recalls the days when he was young and out standing student. Basically he was from a religious family but when he saw two gray eyes of a girl from a tiny window of her college gate, he forgot each and every thing which was related with his religion, traditions or education.
He fell badly in love with his Gray Princess, Khulda who was happened to be a Christian girl.
Raheel was a regular prayer (Namazi) so first of all he pleaded to Almighty Allah to give his love in respond of his strong beliefs but when nothing took place he indulged himself in those activities which were not according to his faith. He went to holy shrines; temples and churches for seek of his love but always came back barren and infertile.
He left over his studies as well as home and went to the holy shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar at Sehwan as a Malang. He tried to call upon the spirit of Peer Sadaruddin Badshah, a powerful saint  of Bhakkar, an adjoining island of Sukkur for granting him Khulda and even that he was not a swimmer at all, entered River Indus to complete his some satanic efforts but she was still away from him as skies. It was also interesting that after each activity to find his love, he was punished by unseen hands and circumstances.
But he didn’t accept defeat and tried to write his destiny with his own hands and spirit. In doing so, he placed Allah and his Beloved in front of each other …. And now he has to choose one of them ….
This is a heart breathing novel in which some spiritual, religious and customary discussions have also been included. These debates are very much interesting and author has used them properly as per theme and subject of the novel. One thing that I also want to mention here are unique names of the chapters which is a clear distinction of the author.
It can be stated clearly that Khuda Aur Mohabbat is another treasure of the words from Zulfiqar Arshad Gilani.
